Water Gardens
The shared gardens are in two parts.
In front of Lucena there is a beautiful tiled seating area around a fountain a water channel taking the water through the lawn to a 5 x 4 x 2 metre swimming pool made from local stone. The garden draws on Islamic, Moorish design for its inspiration, with running water cooling the air and irrigating the plants. The pool and water gardens are not chlorinated, but cleaned through a salt filtration system. The pool has a huge new terrace for sunbathing.
In front of the large Bodega terrace are lemon and olive trees and an organic vegetable patch. This year we are growing beetroot, onions, peppers and garlic.
All the work in the gardens has being done by hand, sympathetic to the history of the houses, using traditional building methods.
The gardens are laid to lawn with lemon, bannana, mimosa and palm trees.
