The Weather
The weather in Malaga is usually fantastic, hot and sunny but there are times in the winter when the days/nights are cold (winter is usually December/January) or the rain comes in. In each house there are oil filled radiators which plug into the mains upstairs and in Lucena (2 bedroomed farmhouse) an open fire and in the Bodega (three bedroomed converted wine press) a wood burning stove.Modern/traditional Spain
Our properties are 13th Century Farmbuildings in a rural setting. They are very different to the modern sanitized villas which you might find in vast numbers in Marbella or Torremolinos where most of nature has been tarmaced and landscaped away. Our guests enjoy seeing small mammals, goats, horses, insects amazing plants and if you are lucky a nesting eagle. They enjoy the countryside and country way of life. If you want to stay in a modern build with central heating, carpets and satellite tv this is not the website or holiday for you!Difficulties during your stay
Our representative in Spain can deal with any difficulties during your stay. She will act as fast as she can to make things right again but please remember this is Andalucia. There are many public holidays and things don't happen very quickly; tradesmen have no real sense of urgency. Will all the best efforts and best maintenance procedures there will be times when things breakdown and repairs are needed. Through rebuilding and furnishing the two houses we learned a great deal about the pace of life in Andalucia, the approach to work and most of all patience.
